Global Communication in Science (2018)

The International Research Experience for Students was a NSF-funded research project aimed at giving students an international research experience coupled with intentional science communication training. I was part of the project's second year cohort and accompanied five other students to Singapore to support their science communication efforts. I made this short documentary of that experience.

The More We All Grow (2016)

As part of a documentary film class project, I worked with a partner to find a subject, conduct interviews, and create a compelling short documentary. All footage was captured and edited by me or my filmmaking partner over the course of two months.

Keweenaw Roller Derby Bout Programs (2019)

I created an event program for each roller derby event during the 2019 season. This included front cover design, text layout, and photo/advertisement layout for four programs. Each program contains game information, team rosters and photos, sponsor advertisements, and league contact information.

As part of my student work for University Marketing and Communications (UMC) at Michigan Tech, I developed a layout for research papers intended for public distribution. The layout was designed to be appealing and usable for non-expert audiences and included front cover, interior text and figures, and reference list.

Michigan Tech Self Guided Tour (2016)

An early project from my student work in UMC, I redesigned this document from a black and white brochure, to a three-panel, color tri-fold with the intent of making it more usable for prospective students and their families on self tours of campus.

Ellen at Tangles (2021)

This freelance logo design was for a hair stylist. I provided options and worked with the stylist to narrow down an option that would work well for her business needs. In addition to the final options shown, she received multiple color options and file types.

IRES Logo (2018)

As part of my participation in the International Research Experience for Students (IRES), I designed a logo for the team. I provided options and worked with the client to create a design that best represented the program and suited their needs. The final logo was displayed on the project website and various apparel.

WalkMS Team Logos (2016, 2017)

I created these logos as a personal project for my team in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society's WalkMS charity event. I worked with members of the team to create designs that were personal, specific, and relevant to the goal of our team. The logos were used on team apparel during the event.
